A Park Regular in the Spotlight

One of our park regulars hasn't been around much lately -- because he had a big day coming in "Big D", and he spent a while there preparing for it. Well, that day finally arrived for Jake Heggie on April 30, and the first review out of Dallas called the world premiere of the opera Moby-Dick "a triumph".

Jake got a lot of well-deserved attention on the way to opening night, and was covered everywhere from The New York Times to Playbill Arts to Vanity Fair to The Dallas Opera (naturally) - which offers an audio interview with Jake in which he discusses the process of transforming a literary work to an opera.
